Warnings.

Anna’s friends were not so understanding this time around.
The consensus was she shouldn’t be with Gian. Even Carol warned Anna not to take him back. And Richard, who always stayed out of the affairs of Anna’s heart, advised her to be very careful.
But she told them all to wait and see. She would make it work this time.
They’d said she hadn’t been to blame so how could she. Anna thought about this carefully and decided she could give Gian more space. Not hold him to seeing her twice a week. Not feeling like the mistress of some married man who set the alarm early every Sunday morning to go home to do chores.
When she told Richard he frowned and snapped. The least Gian could do was see her twice a week.
Always in the back of her mind was something Gian’s friend had said. She could do better. And something his friend’s wife had said. She was wasting her time with Gian.
The only person who said nothing was Talia. She was too busy. Richard was on her radar every waking moment and she was determined to bed him come hell or high water.
If Anna hadn’t gone back to Gian something would have surely happened with Richard. Anna was really attracted to him and they’d become much closer after her breakup with Gian. And Richard was still in love with her or so Tina suggested.
Surely this had all the potential of a messy triangle. The goddesses would be rubbing their hands with glee.
But things were what they were and Anna set her mind to making the relationship with Gian work. Trying to make him happy without much regard for her own happiness.
Silly really and Anna should have known better.
