It went from a surprise party to a non surprise party after Anna realized she had no way of contacting his friends. Except for one guy and she worried he was a big mouth who'd blab the surprise to Gian. Better to let Gian do the invites.
Things were going along ever so smoothly. Gian invited his friends and they agreed to come out. Unfortunately Anna's married friends couldn't make it and in the interest of fairness she thought she really couldn't invite her single, out of control, falling down drunk girlfriends.
Barbara suggested the venue. A funky little restaurant with a bar, live band and a dance floor. It sounded perfect and so the plans were on.
The only little problem was Gian had strayed from his invitation orders and invited his single buddies.
He didn't mention this to Anna until he showed up at her door all smiley and happy and ready for his birthday party.
