Gian’s birthday was coming up and like Anna he was born under the sun sign of Scorpio. Tina said it was a pretty intense combination. Lots of passion. Good and bad. Tina ought to know. She was forever dabbling in astrology and even more so after the abortion. Anna didn’t know why until much later.
Anna wanted to throw a surprise party for Gian. Her friends teased her. They dubbed her the party Nazi. Aways wanting control of the date, the venue, the time and most importantly the guest list. Anna wanted to invite Gian's attached friends and her friends. Who she didn’t want there were his single, out of control, falling down drunk friends. She'd heard all the stories too many times.
But what about who he might want there? Tina asked naively. Silly Tina.
